Opening in 1993, Steamroller Copies was founded by Gail Bevans with a vision — to deliver world‑class printing with a personal touch. Gail’s years of experience in print buying and dedication to service inspired her to create a family‑run business where every customer is valued and remembered.
The name “Steamroller” was born during a trip to New Zealand. Seeing a steamroller in action, Gail told her son, “We’ll name it Steamroller and steamroll the competition with First Class service.” That promise remains at the heart of the company today.

Our Journey Through Time
From a small copy shop in 1993 to becoming Southern Utah’s leading printing destination, a story of vision, growth, and dedication.
In 1993, Gail and Josh Bevans founded Steamroller Copies in St. George, Utah. Gail, a former Pan American Airways flight attendant, noticed a gap in the local print industry. Despite frequenting a local print shop for over two years, she was never recognized by name or remembered for her ongoing projects. Determined to change this, she and Josh invested in five copy machines and opened the first Steamroller Copies on Main Street in St. George, Utah, in November 1992. Their commitment to personalized service quickly set them apart in Southern Utah.
By 2000, Steamroller Copies had established itself as a trusted name in the community. The company expanded its services and customer base, solidifying its position as a leader in the printing industry. This period marked a significant phase of growth, allowing Steamroller Copies to invest in advanced printing technologies and broaden its service offerings.
The year 2001 marked a major step forward for Steamroller Copies. With increasing customer demand and growing trust from the local community, we expanded our service range beyond standard copies to include full-scale color printing, design solutions, and large-format signage. This milestone strengthened our position as the go-to printing partner for both individuals and businesses in Southern Utah.
In 2010, Steamroller Copies embraced new digital printing technologies, allowing faster turnaround times and superior print quality. Our team’s focus on innovation and customer satisfaction helped us bridge the gap between creativity and precision. This was the beginning of a new era — where printing became more personal, professional, and purpose-driven than ever before.
