Gail Bevans knew all about customer service. She had been a flight attendant for 29 years for Pan American and United Airlines. But in 1992 she decided it was time to secure a stable business where she could work with her six children. Josh, the eldest child, worked hand in hand with his mother to make this dream a reality.
As a volunteer for several community organizations, Gail had spent quite a bit of time printing and copying. She saw a need for a local copy business that could assist customers individually, where employees would work one-on-one with customers.
In a matter of three weeks, Josh and Gail bought five copy machines and opened the first Steamroller Copies on Main Street in St. George, Utah. That was November 1992. For Gail and her teenage children, who helped run the stores, the term “steamroller” was not a misnomer. They often worked 16 to 18-hour days. Today, Steamroller Copies has opened additional stores, covering most of southern Utah.
After years of leasing multiple brands of equipment, Steamroller Copies resolved to use only the best equipment and producing the highest quality products. In 2003 Steamroller Equipment and Supplies became authorized dealers for Konica Minolta, KIP and Kyocera Mita.
